

Social accountability and governance plays a key role in ensuring that there is development and tangible growth in a community. Knowing what to question, how to question and who to direct the question to is the first process of seeing that Social accountability works for the community.
Embrace Inclusion as part of Kiambu Social Accountability Network (KISANet) in partnership with Young Mens Christian Association (YMCA) conducted a focus group discussion that was directed towards assessing the current state of understanding of this concept of social accountability among CSOs in Thika drawn from different wards.
The activity was graced by the Chairman Thika District Business Association (TDBA) Mr Wanyoike and Madam Lydia from the department of social services Thika office And Madam Jane the Kiambu Social Accountability Network(KISANet) coordinator.
This session revived the commitment from all key stakeholders in the community to ensuring that there is oversight of all developments within the community to ensure maximum public benefit.
